A few years ago my parents gathered myself and my siblings to ask what items we may be drawn to as part of our inheritance. We found our thoughts moving not too expensive things, but rather those items which have become fused with various precious memories which make up our family’s story: my father’s hockey cards, a teddy bear, or the coffee table that belonged to my great-grandmother before it came to sit in our living room for the past twenty-five years. Each piece carries with it the memory of the lives we’ve lived together.

It’s this quality that seems to be missing in the direction that furniture has taken over recent years. Every few years the construction begins to fail or the novelty wears off. As a result, the furniture we use every day rarely becomes etched into our stories.

We at Finer Detail strive to create timeless pieces meant to furnish your home and your story. After spending over half a decade working as a craftsman designing and building custom wine cellars, I aim to invest the highest quality and aesthetic standards into the furniture I design, ensuring that it becomes an enduring feature of the life you live.
